Refund Policy

1. Our approach to refunds

Acadex prices each engagement according to the work requested. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to the client while recognising work that has already been completed or resources that have already been committed.

If you believe a charge or refund has been handled incorrectly, contact us promptly so we can review the circumstances.

2. Cancellation before work begins

If you cancel an accepted service before Acadex has begun work, we will normally refund the amount you paid in full.

If a payment provider has already deducted a transaction or processing fee that is not recoverable by Acadex, that unavoidable fee may be deducted from the refund. We will explain any such deduction.

3. Cancellation after work has begun

If you cancel after work has started, any refund will normally be calculated on a pro-rata basis. We will deduct the value of work already completed and any reasonable, non-recoverable commitments made specifically for your engagement, and refund the balance.

If the engagement has been substantially or fully completed, there may be little or no refundable balance.

4. If the delivered support does not match the agreed scope

If you believe the service materially fails to match the scope stated in the accepted quote, tell us what is wrong and provide enough detail for us to assess it. Where appropriate, we will first try to correct the issue within a reasonable period.

If we cannot reasonably correct a material failure that is our responsibility, we may provide an appropriate partial or full refund depending on the circumstances and the usable value already delivered.

5. Circumstances that are normally not refundable

A refund will not normally be due merely because:

• you change your mind after the agreed work has been completed;
• you change the brief, research question, data, deadline or institutional requirements after work has begun;
• you do not use the guidance or feedback provided;
• you receive an academic result different from what you hoped for;
• a university, supervisor, journal or other third party makes a decision outside Acadex’s control; or
• the problem arises from incomplete, inaccurate or late information supplied by you.

This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.

6. Duplicate or incorrect payments

If you are charged twice for the same transaction, or we receive an amount that was not due, contact us with the payment details. Once verified, the duplicate or incorrect amount will be refunded.

7. How to request a refund

Email info@acadex.biz and include your name, the service or quote reference if available, the amount paid, the payment date and the reason for the request.

We may ask for additional information reasonably necessary to verify the payment and determine the stage of work completed.

8. Processing time

Once a refund is approved, we will initiate it as soon as reasonably practicable. The time for the funds to appear in your account depends on the payment method, bank and payment processor and may be outside Acadex’s control.

Where possible, refunds will be returned through the original payment method.
