1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Acadex website and any academic guidance, review, editing, research-support or related services supplied by Acadex. By requesting a quote, making payment or asking us to begin work, you agree to these terms.
Acadex is an academic support service. We do not undertake examinations, impersonate students, submit work on a student’s behalf, or provide services intended to circumvent the academic-integrity rules of a university or other institution.
2. Nature of our services
Our services may include academic coaching, diagnostic review, feedback on drafts, editing and proofreading, research guidance, literature-search support, structural guidance, methodology support, statistical support and other forms of academic assistance described in an individual quote.
Any examples, comments, model passages, outlines or research suggestions we provide are intended to support learning and revision. They should be used in accordance with your institution’s policies.
3. Quotes, scope and payment
Acadex generally provides an individual fixed-price quote based on the information you give us, including academic level, subject, word count or amount of material, type of support, complexity and deadline.
Unless a quote expressly says otherwise, payment is due 100% in advance before work begins. A quote is valid only for the scope and deadline stated in it. If the scope changes materially after acceptance, we may issue a revised quote before carrying out the additional work.
Any indicative prices displayed on the website are starting points only and do not replace an individual quote.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information and all materials reasonably required for the service. You should tell us about relevant marking criteria, institutional requirements and deadlines before work begins.
You are responsible for reviewing our feedback and deciding how to use it. You must not represent material supplied as guidance or an example as your own original work where doing so would breach academic-integrity rules.
You must not use Acadex for unlawful purposes, academic impersonation, examination misconduct, falsification of data or any other conduct prohibited by your institution or applicable law.
Enquiries and document uploads
Submitting an online enquiry requests information, guidance or a quotation; it does not itself establish a service engagement, confirm a booking or oblige Acadex to accept the request. Any service engagement remains subject to an agreed scope, quote and applicable terms.
You must have the necessary rights or permission to share all uploaded documents and should remove personal, confidential or third-party information that is not needed to assess your request. We may reject, remove or decline to process files that are unsupported, unsafe, unlawful, excessive or unsuitable for the requested support.
The Contact form accepts PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, TXT and RTF documents, subject to a limit of three files, 5 MiB per file and 10 MiB combined. A receipt acknowledgement confirms that an enquiry was received; it does not mean Acadex has agreed to commence work. You retain ownership of your original materials and permit Acadex and relevant service providers to process and transmit them only as reasonably necessary to assess and administer your enquiry, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Deadlines and delivery
We will use reasonable efforts to meet the delivery time stated in the accepted quote. Delivery times depend on receiving complete information and materials from you on time.
If you delay in providing required information, the delivery date may need to change. Where an unexpected event materially affects our ability to deliver, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to agree an appropriate next step.
6. Corrections and revisions
If our work does not match the agreed scope, please tell us promptly and identify the specific issue. We will review reasonable correction requests that relate directly to the original brief.
Requests that introduce a new question, new source material, a substantially changed brief, additional analysis or work beyond the accepted scope may require a further quote.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy. In summary, if you cancel before work begins, the amount paid will normally be refunded in full, less any unavoidable payment-processing charge that cannot be recovered. Once work has begun, any refund will normally be calculated on a fair pro-rata basis to reflect work already completed or committed.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of documents and original material you provide to Acadex. Acadex retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, templates, know-how, tools and general materials.
Once all amounts due have been paid, you may use the specific feedback, edits and support materials supplied to you for your personal academic purposes, subject to your institution’s rules and these terms.
9. Confidentiality and privacy
We treat client materials and communications as confidential and use them only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, administer the relationship, comply with legal obligations and protect our legitimate interests.
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-party services and external links
The website may link to third-party services such as WhatsApp, payment processors, Amazon, LinkedIn or other external websites. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Acadex is not responsible for the availability, security or content of third-party services.
11. Academic outcomes and limitation of liability
Academic outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. We therefore do not guarantee a particular grade, mark, admission decision, publication outcome or other academic result.
To the extent permitted by law, Acadex will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply, disputes relating to these terms or Acadex services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Goa, India.
13. Contact
